Creative Technologist based in Los Angeles CA.

Gabe Daquigan Gutierrez

I'm a Creative Technologist and Experience Designer studying at USC's Integrated Design, Business and Technology program. Currently building at the intersection of generative AI, immersive media, and spatial computing.

My background is nontraditional. I studied Studio Art and Anthropology, served in the USAF, and worked at Microsoft before finding my way to creative technology. Throughout that journey I learned how to work across disciplines, navigate ambiguity, and build with people whose backgrounds looked nothing like mine. Threading through all of those experiences was a deep belief that technology is one of the most powerful tools we have to manifest new ways of seeing, feeling, and connecting.

Right now that looks like building a real-time voice-to-generative-AI system for reconstructing episodic memories, and collaborating with live performers using body tracking and generative AI. I build with TouchDesigner, StreamDiffusion, MediaPipe, and Python, but the tools are just the starting point. What excites me most is building across disciplines, with writers, engineers, artists, and anyone else who wants to make something that matters.
